i-sieve technologies ltd. is a spin-off company of the National Centre for Scientific Research (NCSR) "Demokritos" in Athens, Greece, founded in late 2004. i-sieve has developed a suite of tools specifically targeted to online data collection and semantic analysis. Underlining these tools is a proprietary technology for data understanding, shaped in many years of academic research work by the team in information extraction, machine learning and web-based multimedia data analysis. i-sieve serves corporate clients and media firms in Europe and the US with business intelligence applications through online media analysis. i-sieve has developed methods for analyzing on-the-fly web-media, blogs, forums and chat-room contents to deliver sentiment snapshots and trend detection insights.

K. V. Chandrinos is an image analysis and Web technologies expert, with research work in extracting and fusing information from rich media over the Web. Apart from being a Research Associate with the Institute of Informatics and Telecommunications, NCSR "Demokritos" from 1998 - 2004, he has also been a consultant on innovative Web technologies for B2B marketplaces.
